101 Dimensions - August 2018-2

by The Prog Squatch | 101 D 2018-08-2

101 Dimensions is a regular program that is broadcast once a week on Progzilla.com, Saturday nights at Midnight (UK). The show features progressive electronic, ambient, and new age music, and no talking.

Three more weeks have rolled by, so I am back at the helm of 101 Dimensions! This week’s program is an eclectic collection (as usual) ranging from the more muscular sounds of Jason Rubenstein, to the classic electronic stylings of Tangerine Dream, and the more ambient motifs of Richard Barbieri and David Sylvian and Holger Czukay. Here’s the playlist if you want to follow along at home:

1. Jason Rubenstein – Consideration; and Acceleration (from the album Four Points Of Focus, 2018)
2. Space Debris – Phonomorph (from the album Space Rock – An Interstellar Traveler’s Guide, 2016)
3. The Firemen – Trans Lunar Rising; and 4 4 4 (from the album Strawberries Oceans Ships Forest, 1993)
4. Tangerine Dream – Tear Down The Grey Skies; Genesis Of Precious Thought; and Electron Bonfire (from the album Quantum Gate + Quantum Key, 2018)
5. Electric Orange – Meals Of Confusion (from the album Space Rock – An Interstellar Traveler’s Guide, 2016)
6. Richard Barbieri – Nevada; Fear And Trembling; Light On Glass; and Drop Of Mercury (from the album Things Buried, 2004)
7. David Sylvian and Holger Czukay – Plight (The Spiralling Of Winter Ghosts) (from the album Plight And Premonition, 1988)

I hope you will join me!

Until next time…Prog On!
