Prog-Watch 207

by The Prog Squatch | Karmakanic & Abel Ganz

This week Tony and Dave start things off with Karmakanic! This is a project from the Flower Kings family, with Jonas Reingold of the Kings at the helm. The guys cover the first two albums “Entering The Spectra” and “Wheel Of Life”, both of which featured lots of guest appearances by fellow Flower Kings alumni! In the second part of the show the boys begin coverage on the last couple of albums by Abel Ganz, and boy are they some good albums! Plus, they have some great interview material from current vocalist and guitarist, Stuart “Mick” MacFarlane!

1093   KARMAKANIC is a side project from Sweden’s Jonas Reingold, bassist for the Flower Kings. If you like the Kings, you should like Karmakanic. In fact many Kings alums (Tomas Bodin, Jamie Salazar and Roine Stolt) appear on some of the Karmakanic albums. Website: reingoldmusic.com
Abel-Ganz_005 Abel Ganz emerged during the Neo-Prog movement in the 1980s, and like a fine wine, they seem to get better with age! Their latest couple of albums put them firmly in the ranks of the UK’s finest Prog acts. Website: abelganz.com
