This week’s show is a bit of a departure for Prog-Watch! We chat with the lovely Elaine Samuels of Kindred Spirit, which could probably best be described as a Progressive Folk band. We talk about the band, exploding drummers (a la Spinal Tap), the giants of British Folk (Fairport Convention, Steeleye Span, and Lindisfarne) and the tribulations of being a band that doesn’t easily fit into one particular genre. Of course, lots of great Kindred Spirit music will be interspersed in between the chat!

NewIndexImageWEBElaine Samuels is a bit of a renaissance woman! Singer, guitarist, and songwriter in her band Kindred Spirit, she is also a music teacher, manager, graphic designer, and hairdresser, and previously worked in the field of electronic engineering!
