This week’s Prog-Watch focuses on the German band Karibow! I chat with Oliver Rüsing, founder and main creative force of the band, and sample music from their last three albums, Addicted, Holophinium, and the newly remixed and remastered Man Of Rust! Also in this week’s show: another edition of Progressive Discoveries with Dr. Rob Fisher of The Progressive Aspect and Progradar, and music from Dwiki Dharmawan!

Karibow was founded by Oliver Rüsing in 1996. In recent years they have picked up lots of accolades…in 2011 they received a German Rock & Pop Award for the original release of Man Of Rust. In 2014 they won a second German Rock & Pop Award for the Best Progressive Band. Their work has hit new heights with their albums Addicted (2014) and Holophinium (2016) and they have just released a remixed and remastered version of Man Of Rust, their 2011 award winner.

Music with some meat to it!

Prog-Watch is a weekly podcast and internet radio program dedicated to bringing the listener contemporary Progressive Rock music from around the world. Your big, hairy host, the “Prog-Squatch” wanders the woods of the world, beats the bushes, and digs in the dirt to bring the best Prog back for YOU! Sometimes solo and sometimes with a guest host, the Prog-Squatch will bring you new and interesting artists in each episode, and give you some background info and a taste of their music.

Want More Squatch? Check him out howling into the wild with his own Progressive Rock Band, Novus. Jam some Squatch in those ears! http://novus3.bandcamp.com/releases
