Prog-Watch 530

by The Prog Squatch | In Conversation with Nick Barrett of Pendragon, Pt. 2

This week on Prog-Watch we’re celebrating 40 years of Pendragon with the second of two Nick Barrett interview programs! Nick and I had an epic chat and you can hear some more of that PLUS a whole lot of great Pendragon music in this week’s program!

If you missed the first show (or just want to refresh your memory so you can get the full-on Nick and Pendragon experience) you can find it here:

Pendragon are an English neo-progressive rock band established in 1978 in Stroud, Gloucestershire as Zeus Pendragon by guitarist and vocalist Nick Barrett. The Zeus was dropped before the band started recording as the members decided it was too long to look good on a T-shirt! There were a few personnel changes in the early days, but since 1986 the core lineup has remained relatively stable. Current members include Barrett (guitar and vocals), Clive Nolan (keyboards), Peter Gee (bass) and Jan-Vincent Velazco (drums). This year the band are celebrating their 40th anniversary with a series of special gigs planned to take place in the UK later in the year. (You can hear more about that from Nick in the program!)
