This week on Prog-Watch my special guests are Mark Zonder and Gary Wehrkamp who have formed a new project called Zonder-Wehrkamp! (Mark is perhaps best know as the drummer for Warlord, Spirits Of Fire, and Fates Warning. Gary is probably best known as a member of Shadow Gallery, but has also worked with Arjen Lucassen, James Labrie, Doug Rausch, and also contributed to the first Roswell Six album.) Tune in to hear some of our chat, some music from the guys’ pasts, and some from their brand new project!

Mark Zonder (born April 16, 1958) is the drummer of American heavy-metal band Warlord. When the band was on a hiatus, he joined Fates Warning. His artistic name in Warlord is “Thunder Child”. He also has his own band Slavior. He has guested and done session work on numerous albums and in 2017 Zonder served as drummer for the metal supergroup Spirits of Fire.

Gary Wehrkamp (born May 11, 1970) is an American musician, songwriter and producer. He is most notably a member of the American progressive rock band Shadow Gallery. He has been a musician, composer, producer, or engineer on over fifty albums throughout the past three decades. These included several Ayreon albums, a Star One album, the first Roswell Six album, and the most recent Rausch album, to name a few.

Having been friends and jamming/writing together for several years, the two have set out on a new project, Zonder-Wehrkamp.
