Hi Tony,
This was so special, thank you so much. I followed along with your commentary and the music, thinking of Steve, feeling him listening with me. I followed along with the lyrics, too, which I Googled to enhance the whole experience.
Steve used to make cd’s for me. I think the Moody Blues compilation was the last one, either that or the Trans Siberian Orchestra Christmas album.
Dave and I still talk to Steve through his text box. I talked to Steve on text throughout listening to this show. He doesn’t text back of course, but he does send new kinds of messages, like tipping over the picture of his keyboards, lol.
I’d sure love to have heard him play keyboards, I looked all over youtube to see if the Decade or any other open mike venue captured his talent, but no luck. Hal said he did an awesome cover of Lucky Man at an open mike night somewhere, but he couldn’t remember where. Dave and I will be looking through his stuff to see if he had recorded anything to keep for himself. Hope so.
R.I.P. indeed Steve, we love you and miss you, and will keep feeling you through all the music you loved, always…xox
I am glad you and Dave liked it and approved. It was heart felt.
