Prog-Watch 409

by The Prog Squatch | Roine Stolt, Pt. 2

On Prog-Watch this week, it’s Part 2 of our Roine Stolt coverage! You’ll hear the rest of my interview with the man himself, plus great music from Agents Of Mercy, Kaipa, Transatlantic, and Anderson/Stolt! Our friend Dr. Rob Fisher will also weigh in on a classic from The Flower Kings!

Roine Stolt (born 5 September 1956 in Uppsala) is a Swedish multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and composer. A major figure in Sweden’s rock history, he was was involved in two of his country’s most successful progressive rock bands: Kaipa in the 1970s and The Flower Kings in the 1990s (and onward). He has also been involved in a variety of other projects such as the Prog Rock super-group Transatlantic, and the Tangent and Agents Of Mercy, to name a few. As if he needed to add to his Prog Rock credentials, he recently toured with Steve Hackett and made an album with Jon Anderson, as well! A Prog Rock legend, indeed!
