What a lucky man I’ve been to have been listening to this music since before the first Happy the Man album when Rick Kennell brought over a pre-release of the Arista vinyl. I was also proud to have played music with Rick, Cliff Fortney, and Mike Beck for four years before Happy the Man were formed in a teenage band we had called Gritt, then later Zelda. The new music Frank has written I find remarkable, and so glad that he was able to bring together these great musicians for a reunion of sorts. He might (or might not) remember us meeting in Ft Wayne when he was there before Cliff Fortney had moved to Harrisonburg and joined the first evolution of HTM along with Rick, Mike, and another musician from Ft Wayne, Dan Owen. I remember Frank sitting down at my Ivers & Pond grand at a house Cliff, Brad Stevens, and Tom Cooley had been rehearsing at and playing it for a few minutes. I asked him if what he played had a name and he said, “Passions’ Passing”.
Very cool! Thanks for sharing!
