On this week’s Prog-Watch I’m paying tribute to the late Ken Hensley, with excerpts of my 2018 interview with the man himself and lots of great music from Uriah Heep, his solo career, and side projects. I hope you will join me in remembering this talented musician, brilliant song-writer, and overall genuine person.

Kenneth William David Hensley (24 August 1945 – 4 November 2020) was an English singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer, best known for his work with Uriah Heep during the 1970s. He wrote or co-wrote the majority of Uriah Heep’s songs during this period, including the hit singles “Lady in Black”, “Easy Livin'” and “Stealin'”. Ken also had a long solo career, releasing albums under his own name, and along with John Wetton, John Lawton, and Live Fire. His final album, “My Book of Answers”, is due to be released in February 2021.
